A comprehensive theological library for everyone. The main library consists of the lifetime collection of books of the late Bishop Arthur Attwell, a former rector of St. Michael's, and has been given to St. Michael's by his widow Mrs Muriel Attwell. The library contains a wide selection of books on various subjects, suitable for all levels of study or research, as well as literature of interest to the general reader. Books may be studied on site or borrowed for up to one month, with extended loan by arrangement. New literature is purchased regularly in order to keep the library up to date. The library is situated on the upper floor of the church, with direct access to the seating gallery of the main worship area. Comfortable seating and study tables are provided. This is an ideal venue for meetings, study groups, tutorials and quiet days. The use of the library as a resource is free of charge, ALTHOUGH ADVANCE BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL. Refreshments can be provided at a reasonable cost. Disabled access and toilets are available. OPENING TIMES Every 2nd and 3rd Saturday in month, 10.00 am - 12.00 noon or by arrangement with the Library Curators. Please contact the Parish Office on 01900 604450 for details.
