| Sunday
School
The St. Michael's Sunday School meet at 9.30 am in the Conference Room for prayers and then split into 3 age groups. All children up to the age of 11 are welcome. St. Michael's childrens groups had a very successful entry in Workington Carnival in 2005, winning The Best Community Entry (2nd year running), The People's Choice and The Best Overall Entry. In 2006, this success was repeated, with St. Michael's taking both The Best Community Entry and The Best Overall Entry.
| Mothers'
Union
St. Michael's branch of the Mothers' Union was founded in 1921 with eighteen members in attendance; today we have a membership of fifty three. Our branch meets on the first Wednesday in the month beginning with a short act of worship followed by a guest speaker from organisations within our community and MU representatives from our Carlisle Diocese. Our branch plays an active role within the life and work of our Church; why not come along to one of our meetings and join in the friendship and fellowship of our St. Michael's family. If you would like more information about the work of the Mothers' Union and our branch, please contact branch leader Sheila Rowe on 01900 602311 or secretary Joan Wilkinson on 01900 604906.
| Tots
Group
The Tots Group is aimed at pre-school children, with chat and coffee for mums, dads and carers. The group meets every Thursday in the Parish Rooms at 1.30 pm - 2.30 pm. There is no charge, donations only for tea/coffee, with juice and biscuits for the children. Everyone is welcome.
| Prayer
Group
The prayer service meets to pray for the needs of the world and the community that St. Michael’s serves. The service is based upon material from the Iona Community.
| Bell ringing
St. Michael's has an enthusiastic bell ringing team, who meet every Monday evening between 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm. The first part of the practice enables learners to make use of the computer simulated ringing system, and then progresses onto open ringing. All visitors are welcome but should contact Mr G. Evans on 01900 824647 or Mr E. Martin on 01900 61070 in order to arrange the visit.
